Fastology (“Fastology,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a fasting and wellness app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and related Apple surfaces. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Fastology app, related support features, and our connected cloud services (together, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy is intended to describe the Fastology app and its related app services.
Fastology is a wellness product. It is not a medical service, and this Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and in-app disclosures.

installation identifier
sync metadata such as device identifier and last-updated timestamps
notification settings or permission status as needed to show reminder controls and notification state in the app

F. Product analytics

If analytics are enabled for the app environment, we collect limited behavioral product analytics to help us understand feature usage and product flow performance.
Based on the current analytics schema and filtering rules, these analytics are intended to focus on product and behavior signals such as screen views, onboarding progression, fast start and end events, scheduling actions, reminder interactions, app version, build channel, and high-level account state.
Our analytics documentation and event-filtering rules are intended to exclude certain categories of data from analytics payloads, including:
body metrics such as weight, BMI, height, or target weight
onboarding safety responses and similar health- or condition-related details
mood values
free-form notes
feedback text
Ask question and answer text
This analytics section describes product analytics payloads only. It does not mean those categories are never processed elsewhere in Fastology, such as in syncing, support, or Ask features you choose to use.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may also create and use aggregated or de-identified information for product improvement, analytics, research, and operational purposes where permitted by applicable law.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
We may disclose information in the following limited situations:

A. Service providers

We use service providers to host and operate the Services. Based on the current app architecture, these may include providers that support:
authentication and cloud data storage
backend functions and sync
product analytics
These providers may process information on our behalf only to provide services to Fastology and subject to contractual and technical controls.

B. Apple platform services

If you use Sign in with Apple, TestFlight, or Apple platform features such as notifications, Apple may process information under its own terms and privacy practices.

If Fastology is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

4. Analytics and Tracking

Fastology uses limited product analytics to understand app performance and user flows.
Fastology currently uses PostHog for limited product analytics on US-hosted infrastructure.
We do not use the app to serve targeted ads.
We do not use app data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not intentionally send health-adjacent body metrics, safety-screening answers, mood values, or free-form personal content to third-party analytics tools.
If our analytics practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required App Store privacy disclosures before those changes apply.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, support syncing, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
